Afdis Awards Nominations 2013

And the nominees are.....

Well done to all the people and productions nominated for Reps Afdis Awards for 2013, representing the judges’ decisions on nominees after a busy year and after receiving nominations from various committees.

The awards themselves will be handed out at a gala show and ceremony in the theatre, scheduled for 7pm on Saturday March 22. All members and friends are encouraged to attend and support the nominees as the winners are announced from among their number.

Reps would like to thank African Distillers for once again sponsoring the awards event and for helping the society recognise and encourage excellence through this awards competition.

Best actor in a leading role (The John Keeling Award)

Best actress in a leading role (The George Barnes Award)

Best supporting actor (The Alan Parkinson Award)

Best supporting actress (The Allan Shaw Award)

Best minor performance (The Prentice Trophy)

Best junior performance (The Reps Award for under-16s)

Best comedy performance (The Alastair and Wendy Booth Award)

Most outstanding music performance (Dave Robert Memorial Trophy)

Best Technical (The Sue Greener Award)

Best first performance at Reps (The Hugh Dornhurst Trophy)

Best contribution to dance and movement (The Reps Trophy)

Also considered for awards are the directors, stage managers and props people of each production during the year, with an award in each of these categories.

Each production in the year is also considered for the Oude Meester Trophy for the Best Production, with the productions of 2013 being:
