And the winner is ...
Congratulations to all the winners of 2013 Reps Afdis Awards, presented on Saturday March 22nd, 2014 in a ceremony and show sponsored by African Distillers and hosted by The Repertory Players. Each year the Reps Afdis Awards are handed in out in recognition of achievement and effort and to reward and encourage excellence, covering all Repertory Players productions staged during the previous year.
The winners are:
- The Oude Meester Award of Excellence for the Best Production of 2013

- The John Keeling Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role

- The Alan Parkinson Award for Best Supporting Actor

- The Prentice Trophy for Best Minor Performance

- The Reps Award for Best Performance by a Junior under the age of 16

- Molly Dzangare (Festival of Viennese Operetta)

- Hesbe Chivers (costume design for The Sound of Music)
- The Hugh Dornhurst Trophy for best first Reps performance
- Savanna Bester (The Sound of Music)
- The Reps Trophy for best contribution to dance and movement
- Clare Hingeston (Choreography for The Sound of Music)
- The Trevor Keeling Award for Best Stage Manager
- Tim Garrard (The Sound of Music)
- The Reps Award for Best Stage Properties
- Philippa Johnston (The Woman In Black)
- The Reps Theatrical Advancement Award for best production in the 2013 Reps Afdis Schools Theatre Festival
- Arundel School’s Julius Caesar; runner up: Chisipite School’s Once Upon A Mattress
- Isabeau Granger Award for best amateur director
- Graham Crutchley (Colder Than Here)
- The Adrian Stanley Award for theatrical achievement
- Hesbe Chivers (contribution to development of costumes and wardrobe)
- The Steve Bonney Award for contribution to the society
- The Beit Trust (support to Reps for the upgrading of Theatre Upstairs)
- The Barbara Munro trophy for all-round contribution
