Harare audiences will rock to the music of Reps Theatre's next show - a feast of rock songs that will run for five days only and will be a benefit for Zimbabwe's Mr Theatre, Adrian Stanley.
Do U Wanna Rock? is a musical extravaganza that will audiences singing along, dancing in the aisles and enjoying the talents of no fewer than 10 singers, a seven-piece band and a top dance group. Produced by Chris Charnley, it will have a limited run from Tuesday March 21 to Saturday March 25.
"Advance booking is considered essential as the show is already selling well, especially among groups of friends and workmates," said Mr Charnley.
Among the cast are established female vocalists like Ellena Kufusa Smith, Storm Evershed and Rosie Osborne (daughter of Rob and Ellie Osborne), along with newcomers Katrin Stutz and Samantha Tirivacho. Male vocalists include Reps stalwarts David Smith and Roy Freestone, 5Star boy band stars Josh Ansley and Alex Fairlie, as well as newcomer to Reps Rowland Amm.
"The show has been in rehearsal for six weeks and is shaping up into an exciting and fast-moving show that will appeal to anyone who likes music that 'moves,'" said Mr Charnley.
"The level of talent on stage in unprecedented for a show of this nature and we are sure these performers will be very well received."
Bookings are now open at The Spotlight (Monday to Friday 10am to 2pm, Saturday 9am to 12 noon).
