NEWS RELEASE: FEBRUARY 28 2007: ROCKSHOW ONE

Reps Theatre will rock in March with the concert show Do U Wanna Rock Again, sequel to the highly successful Do U Wanna Rock of early 2006.

This time the show will be a joint venture with Windi and Premier Promotions, running at the theatre from Thursday March 8 to Saturday March 17. As before, it will feature a collection of classic rock songs – from Queen to Meatloaf and from Rolling Stones to Fleetwood Mac.

The show will feature a seven-piece band, many of them performers from the first show last year and all of them accomplished and experienced studio and gig musicians. Singers will include David Smith, Josh Ansley, Alex Fairlie, Rowland Amm, Ellena Kupusa Smith and Adiona Maboreke.

“This promises to be a fun show that will again have audiences singing and dancing with the cast,” said Teri Grimmell, who is one of the directors of the show, along with David Smith and Christo Georgiades.

Do U Wanna Rock Again will be the second show on the Reps stage this year, following the Cliff Richards tribute show, Lucky Lips, and ahead of another musical called That’s Entertainment, scheduled for April. There will be only eight performances and audiences are being recommended to book in advance.

“Rock music is very popular and the talented performers in this show will ensure not only a great selection of music but first-rate performances and interpretations of the music concerned,” said Ms Grimmell.
